The Vision

When Becky Vodak envisioned The Laurel Exchange and Studio, she saw more than a business — she saw a missing piece in her community. She wanted to create a space that brought people together: a place where creativity could thrive, friendships could form, and something beautiful could always be made from what already exists.

Inspired by her love for art, gatherings, and meaningful connection, Becky designed The Laurel Exchange and Studio as a hub for creativity and community. Here, neighbors can meet for a candle-making workshop, families can celebrate birthdays surrounded by laughter and paint, and friends can spend an evening rediscovering the joy of making something by hand.

Her passion for thrift and restoration also shapes the space. Rather than focusing on clutter or cast-offs, Becky curates furniture and décor that carry character — pieces with history, craftsmanship, and potential for new life. It’s about finding beauty and purpose in what others might overlook.

At its heart, The Laurel Exchange and Studio is Becky’s love letter to her town: a place where artistry, fellowship, and thoughtful living come together under one welcoming roof.
